Under the Umbrella Canada believes that a community is only as strong as the youth that reside in it. To thrive as a community, the healthy development of adolescents must be made priority.
Our youth are the future decision makers that will shape our lives and the lives of the generations to come. As they grow they become shoulders we lean on and the caregivers we rely on. The way adolescents view their communities - and themselves as a part of those communities – defines their community engagement as adults. It is imperative to nurture and promote a healthy relationship between our adolescents and our community to put in place foundations for the future that we want to see. Quite simply, healthy teens result in a healthy town.
We want to support youth so that they may grow into healthy, thriving and well-rounded adults that continue to make our community a better place. With your help, we will achieve that goal.
